Carlos Alcaraz has reached his first Grand Slam final after defeating Jannik Sinner in a thrilling five-set semi-final at the French Open. The 19-year-old Spaniard won 6-3, 6-1, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 in a match that lasted over four hours.

Alcaraz started the match strongly, breaking Sinner's serve in the first game. He then held his own serve to love and broke Sinner again in the third game to take a 3-0 lead. Sinner finally got on the board in the fourth game, but Alcaraz broke him again in the fifth game to take a 4-1 lead. Alcaraz then served out the set to love.

Alcaraz continued to dominate in the second set, breaking Sinner's serve in the first and third games. He then held his own serve to love in the fourth and sixth games to take a 4-0 lead. Sinner managed to win a game on his own serve in the fifth game, but Alcaraz broke him again in the seventh game to take the set 6-1.

Sinner finally started to find his feet in the third set. He broke Alcaraz's serve in the first game and held his own serve to love in the second game to take a 2-0 lead. Alcaraz broke back in the third game, but Sinner broke him again in the fifth game to take a 3-2 lead. Sinner then held his own serve to love in the sixth game and broke Alcaraz again in the eighth game to take the set 6-3.

Alcaraz regained his composure in the fourth set. He broke Sinner's serve in the first and third games and held his own serve to love in the second and fourth games to take a 4-0 lead. Sinner managed to win a game on his own serve in the fifth game, but Alcaraz broke him again in the seventh game to take the set 6-1.

The fifth set was a close affair, but Alcaraz ultimately proved too strong. He broke Sinner's serve in the first and fifth games and held his own serve to love in the second and fourth games to take a 4-2 lead. Sinner broke back in the sixth game, but Alcaraz broke him again in the eighth game to take the set 6-3 and the match.

Alcaraz will now face Casper Ruud in the final on Sunday. Ruud defeated Marin Cilic in the other semi-final.
